About NarraTiv

NarraTIV, Create Mobile’s Short Film Seminar, is a three week training program designed to provide you with an opportunity to learn and practice the art of evangelistic short filmmaking.

NarraTIV is a great alternative to the Frontier Filmmaking Seminar (FFS) for existing teams who already know their way around camera and audio gear and are looking to improve their skills in narrative, short film filmmaking. Special emphasis is given to making cross-culture films for people groups in their language and culture.

Curriculum Overview

NarraTIV, Create Mobile’s Short Film Seminar, is a three week training program designed to provide you with an opportunity to learn and practice the art of  evangelistic short filmmaking. 

As a student you will learn: 

  • Producing & preproduction 
  • Scriptwriting & Storytelling techniques 
  • Directing & Production on the Set 
  • Casting Actors
  • Securing Locations 
  • postproduction
  • Marketing & Distribution. 

The short-film assignment allows you to put it all into practice. Each student will write a short film and work with a local crew to make the movie on a team under a trainer’s expert supervision.

Your trainers have extensive experience making short films over many years. You will learn their unique cross-cultural methods to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ and their proven, field-tested filmmaking techniques.

TIV is an acronym standing for “Training in Video Production” and serves as a collection of different programs each designed with a specific audience and outcome.
